Consultation and Hypnosis
I am in the process of brushing up my learning as a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist (listening to the entire 90-hour course all over again and some continuing education courses) in the hopes of now supporting breastfeeding and chestfeeding parents using hypnosis and counseling/consultation, via my online practice.
Due to social distancing and “lockdown” restrictions for Covid-19, many people with my level of training and above (ILBC) are switching to online sessions. These are not ideal for many people, of course, but for a harried parent who needs assistance and emotional support, quick access can be essential.
The stresses of caring for a new baby are manifold, including learning a new set of vital skills with a sharp learning curve, sleep and schedule disruption, shifts in family dynamics, lack of support, isolation for the main caregiver, sexuality issues, as well as difficulties with lactation.
I have trained and worked as a postpartum doula. I also remember how exhausting it was to take care of my own two newborns. Hypnosis can help alleviate stresses, and counseling can be a place to share your concerns. I look forward to giving you the support you need.
