It’s been a long time coming to this point, but here I am. I’ve never been thrilled about being “assigned female”–it never felt like a real fit–but I am of a generation that grew up with fewer options than there are now.
Gender non-binary with a dash of gender neutral, using the pronouns ze/zir, feels much more accurate. This is me on the inside, no matter what I look like on the outside.
