Here is the slide show from the webinar I attended today concerning sexual health and HIV prevention strategies for trans men who have sex with men. The webinar organizers wanted this information to be widely shared, so I am doing my part. You can download a PDF of the slide show here: TMSM+WEBINAR

I was very pleased to attend the webinar. At an hour, it was far too short. It makes me realize how much I miss the sex positive/sexual health positive community of the SF Bay Area. Honestly, there are so many good people and organizations providing care and resources to groups of people I really care about.

There was a lot of good information, but one of the best quotes was, “playing twenty questions about my gender is not good foreplay.” (Unfortunately I forget who said this!) The message: educate yourself first about gender variance before dating a person who is trans, non-binary, or otherwise gender variant. Take that as a pre-Valentine’s Day tip!

Big thanks to Shawn Demmons, MPH, the main presenter, and to the panelists: Kay Nielson of the SF Aids Foundation; Niko Kowell of the SF Community Health Center; and Marion Pelligrini, also of the SF Community HEalth Center. I truly appreciate the opportunity to learn more.
